Admission procedures for  Cambridge College Lima

 

 

Procedure for admission to Stage 1 and Stage 2

 

Admission to Cambridge College Lima is generally through Stage 3 (three year olds) or Stage 4 (4 year olds) of the Early Learning School.

 

However, the Early Learning School will also offer programmes for 1-year-olds, Stage 1, and 2-year-olds, Stage 2 according to demand.

 

Ages

Applicants for Stage 1 should have turned 1 by March 31st of the year of entry, whilst those for Stage 2 should have turned 2 by the same date.

 

Open Day

Normally, there are meetings for parents interested in either programme with the Headmaster in April of the year prior to entry for these two stages. This is also an opportunity to reserve a place in either programme and also visit the installations of the Early Learning School and the other levels making up the school.

This event is directed only for parents, not in this opportunity for their children.

 

 

 

Stage 3, 2020 and Stage 4, 2021

 

Ages

Applicants for either of the two Stages should have been born between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017.

 

Open Day

There will be a meeting with the Headmaster on Saturday, October 13th 2018, from 10:00 am for parents interested in their children entering Cambridge College Lima through Stage 3 in 2020 or Stage 4 in 2021. Guided tours of the school will be available that morning.

 

Inscription

Step 1:

From October 15th, 2018, interested parents must send an email to Carla Pedraza, cpedraza@cambridge.edu.pe , indicating in the Subject the family’s preference, Stage 3 or Stage 4.

In either case, scanned copies of the following documents must be attached:

  • DNI of the candidate;
  • Birth Certificate of the candidate;
  • A digitalized passport size colour photo of the candidate.

Additionally, the email should contain the following information about the contact person:

  • The name;
  • The number of DNI;
  • Telephone and email address

 

Step 2:

From Monday, October 22nd until Thursday, October 25th, parents should approach BANBIF to pay a non-refundable fee of S/. 450.00 to cover the costs of the admission process.  To effect payment, parents should mention the name of the school and the candidate.

 

Step 3:

The day after the payment, we will send the contact person an email with information on how to enter the school’s intranet and complete the Application Form and other documents.

The deadline for submission is Friday 26th of October.

 

In the event a family joins the school, the information provided will be kept in our database. However, if for one reason or another the family does not join the school, all the information will be deleted from our systems.

 

 

 

Interviews

The admissions procedure does not include any form of testing of the applicants. However, once inscription is complete, parents of applicants will be invited to interview with the Headmaster. Interviews will take place from Monday 29th of October.

 

System of Awarding Places

Places in the school are awarded according to the following criteria:

 

  • Siblings of older students who are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from Cambridge College Lima;
  • Sons and daughters of families that work in the school;
  • Sons and daughters of students who have graduated from Cambridge College Lima;
  • Students from Stage 2, 2019
  • Balance between boys and girls;
  • Those with a close relationship with the school;
  • Those whose families live in close proximity to the school;
  • Information collected during the admission process and interview.
  • Other information.

 

 Awarding Places

 We plan to finish the awarding places process by the end of November. However, this will depend on the number of applicants.

 

Entry Fee

The Entrance Fee to Cambridge College Lima is a on-time payment prior to a child’s entry into the school.

 

Stage 3 - 2020

The Entry fee corresponding to admission to Stage 3 – 2020 is US$ 13,500 for new families and sons and daughters of Cambridge College Lima graduates.

 

The Entry Fee for siblings of older children currently enrolled in or graduated from the school is US$ 10,800

 

When a family receives the letter awarding a place, they will have to paya n Entry Fee according to the following schedule.

The amounts quoted will not be reimbursed in any event of the family withdrawing from the admission process.

 Stage 4 -2021

The Entry fee corresponding to admission to Stage 4 – 2021 is US$ 15,000 for new families and sons and daughters of Cambridge College Lima graduates.

 

The Entry Fee for siblings of older children currently enrolled in or graduated from the school is US$ 11,200

 

When a family receives the letter awarding a place, they will have to pay an Entry Fee according to the following schedule.

Especial Entrance Fee consideration is given to families engaged in the diplomatic service, either for the Peruvian or a foreign government who reside in the country for a limited period of time.

 

Lateral Entries

Spaces permitting, for transfers of students to grades higher up the school from schools located in Peru, evaluations are organized in November of the year prior to entry.

 

The school can organize evaluations for students from schools located overseas at any time in the year.

 

Both the latest Report card and a certificate of belonging to the top 30% of their promotion must be presented with the application form.
