Middle School Curriculum

Our Middle Years education in Chorrillos continues the bilingual approach from Junior School, teaching English, Maths, Sciences, and Global Perspectives in English following the Cambridge International Lower Secondary curriculum, alongside the Peruvian national programme in Spanish. Additionally, students begin learning French and participate in exciting Physical Education lessons, which include various individual and team sports. Language Immersion in Middle School

Middle School Assessment

Students begin cycle tests in Phase 2 of Junior School and continue to benefit from this approach in Middle School. These weekly tests in core subjects, conducted on a rotational basis, provide a snapshot of student progress, help identify areas for further consolidation, and contribute to individual academic excellence.

In Middle School, students also undergo their first external evaluations in subjects taught in English (English, Maths, Science, and Global Perspectives). Grade 6 students complete the Cambridge International Checkpoint tests at age 11, followed by the Secondary Checkpoint tests at age 13. These diagnostic assessments are part of the Cambridge International Curriculum, assessed by the University of Cambridge, and serve as valuable tools for teachers to plan future learning goals.
